Early Childhood Education Essay A Catholic Early Childhood Program endeavours to provide an environment and educational experience that is concerned with the development of each child as a whole person, and which acknowledges his/her innate spirituality. It seeks also to foster a religious awareness through meaningful everyday life experiences. This religious education experience endeavours to complement and support that which is offered through the home environment. Early Childhood Education lays the foundation for further schooling and provides the initial interface between home and school in a child’s life. Recognising parents as the first educators of their children, early childhood education seeks to build upon home learning. In establishing programs for young children it is important to remember that Catholic schooling is intentionally directed to the holistic development of students from within, assisting them to become fully integrated human persons. These sessions focus on the child’s unique stage of development and the understanding that all children vary in their individual development. The teachers will create a caring, safe and stimulating environment that will nurture the child’s disposition to wonder, explore and construct meaning about the world. KINDERGARTEN Our Kindergarten Program aims to provide a relaxed, secure environment where children can develop at a pace appropriate to their uniqueness. Our Kindergarten Program will focus on all areas of human development – spiritual, emotional, physical, social, creative and intellectual with activities designed to assist your child to experiment and explore in ways that foster learning in an informal and fun way. PRE-PRIMARY CENTRE Infant Jesus School offers five full days of Pre-Primary experience from the beginning of the year. All Quiet on the Western Front Millions dead, tens of millions injured, for what? For a petty argument between two countries. War is devastating to countries and most indefinitely individuals. Men can be left disturbed mentally, physically, and socially for the rest of their lives. Is this necessary? Well maybe you should decide after reading the next few paragraphs. You can decide if the war being fought is a war of dignity and glory as everyone would make it out to be or if it was a battle of death and gore. You maybe surprised at what happens to men out there. Well it would be glorious to be wounded and or die for your country right? Well maybe if you were the one seeing everything from the outside looking in. If you were a soldier your outlook on war may be a little different. The physical ailments of the young men are terrible. Some even consider it lucky if you die. For example, Remarque made it very clear that he was aware of the pains men were forced to endure when he put Paul and Albert Kropp in the hospital. Paul was going on leave and asked Albert if there was anything that he could get for him and Kropp said, "A gun." Paul showed his disapproval of this idea and Albert said something to the degree of I would rather die then live without a leg. Another example was when Kat was wounded by the bomb that went off while he was delivering supplies to the men on the front. Kat could not even walk. Then while Paul was taking him back to the First Aid center the man said, "He's stone dead." Paul was so oblivious to what was going on that he simply replied, "No, he's just fainted." When he looked at his hand and found a bullet wound in the back of Kat's head he was so stunned that he could not even think or see straight. In the real world people would leave their homes cheerful young men and return tattered worn cripples. Men would return with missing appendages. Some would return without legs. Others would come home without sight or unable to breathe on their own.

I am a current student of Pasadena City College in California studying electrical engineering. I am a national of China and resident of United States of America for the past 2 years. I would like to apply for mathematics divisional wards in your university so that I can pursue a graduate program in mathematics after I complete my certificate program at this college. I hope to score grade B and above in the final examination. The courses I have undertaken include electrical technology, electrical power circuits’ generation and control, applied algebra, applied mathematics for electronics, principles of electrical verses electronics, programmable controls, electrical inspection and codes as well as engineering graphics. My interest in undertaking mathematics course in the University is because I intend to develop skills in physical science and engineering, skills in management science and skills in problem solving in engineering field as well as solving computing related problems. This will enable me to have critical thinking necessary to help me advance my career in the fields of actuarial science and management consulting. The courses I expect to broaden my knowledge in this area include differential calculus, linear and applied algebra, differential equations, projectory calculus, differential   integration, integration and infinite series, programming, microeconomic and macroeconomic theory, principles of economics, principles of accounting, analysis, probability theory, applied statistics and geometric series analysis. I hope to pursue further studies in applied mathematics in this university. The services provided by the university such as group discussions, availability of tutorial services, counseling, credit transfers, research opportunities, academic career advancement in system engineering and management science makes this university my ideal place to nurture my career goals. The university is also well equipped with other resources such as academic staff, housing, financial support, and diverse student population. It also has a good learning environment for all students. Post-traumatic Stress Disorder is â€Å"a mental condition that can affect a person who has had a very shocking or difficult experience and that is usually characterized by depression, anxiety, etc.† (Merriam-Webster’s, n.d.) Post-traumatic stress disorder can occur after seeing a dangerous event such as war, hurricanes, car accidents, death of a loved one, and violent crimes. It can affect a victim mind, body, and the people around them. While some mental disorders are genetic, this disorder come from the things that people encounter in life. This paper will discuss the risk factor involved with post-traumatic stress disorder as well as treatments that will help overcome it and future research and approaches to treat this psychiatric illness.†¦show more content†¦It is common in war veterans because they deal with the common symptom of flashbacks. A person suffering from this may be able to mentally be sent back to the time and location of the original traumat ic experience. This can be triggered by something small such as a noise, smell, or any specific thing. A person who is serving their country put himself or herself at risk of PTSD just by being in the war. They do not necessarily have to return fire or have a lot of exposure to the combat to suffer. Research by McLay et al. (2014) supports this theory with self-reported symptoms of PTSD and depression that were examined among service members who reported being shot at or attacked by an IED. It included that they may become higher in risk for PTSD because the helplessness of being unable to return fire against the enemy had shown relations to PTSD and injuries sustained in war make them more vulnerable to it as well. McLay et al. (2014) results also showed that those who been attacked but not shot at the enemy had less severe symptoms than those who had exchanged fire. Studying the brain has been an affective result in finding out the various neurochemicals that are involved with PTSD. Brain imaging systems nowadays focus on two brain structures, the amygdala and the hippocampus.
